2020/1 will be remembered as the “remote era”, the period that sent most of the workforce home for long period. For some workers with appropriate conditions at home, it was a “dream came true”. For others, it was a nightmare because of the psychological effects of solitude or inability to concentrate due to disturbance at home.
Not all work can be done at home, manufacturing and logistical tasks, demand “boots on the ground”. Yet a lot of other sectors, back-office and administrative tasks, can be done remotely, in these, Hybrid work (mix of office and remote) will persist.
Covid 19 pandemic forced upon us “Change management”, planning remote work followed by remote performance measurement. We found in many organizations that many workers are not managed and controlled! Neither in the office or at home, making remote operational excellence and achieving business goals very hard.
ERGO was confronted with helping clients rapidly transform to remote work, making a “sour apple, sweet”. We developed a methodology for not only maintaining remote output, rather, increase profits by moving over to Hybrid Flex Jobs, Planning and controlling all personnel, digital & automation transformation, and desk-sharing, saving a lot of expenses and increasing productivity.

Moving these workers home, created a management gap – how do we plan, control, and prioritize their work remotely? – Huge added value lies in restructuring and controlling these tasks. How do we make sure all our personnel are effective working in the office or remotely?
